Basics and examples of air, oil, fuel and cabin air filtration
This electronic publication is based on the German title Filtration in Fahrzeugen (ISBN 978-3-86236-118-2) which was first published in 2019 as volume number 398 of the book series Die Bibliothek der Technik, edited by SZ Scala GmbH, Munich. Based on the four main filter groups engine air filters, engine oil filters, fuel filters and cabin air filters, it describes how filters must be designed in order to meet the respective high specific requirements. Some typical examples for the respective fields of application are described from the multitude of possible filter systems. Further topics are the virtual development methods increasingly used in filter development as well as the test methods used for the validation of filter products. One section deals with filters for vehicles with electrified powertrains.
